Abstract:

species of Cleistanthus (Euphorbiaceae) are presently known

from Guangdong and Hainan: Cleistanthus, dongfangensis is a new combination

based on Phyllanthus dongfangensis. Its morphological description is corrected here.

C. tonkinensis and C. sumatranus are new records in Guangdong Province. C. to-

mentosus is found in Baoting and Ya Xian of Hainan Province.
