Abstract: Based on the features of P2P streaming model over wireless Ad Hoc networks, we propose a transmission optimization mechanism which works at the P2P data topology level and is independent of the underlying networks. According to importance of video slices and network conditions, peers adjust transport layer parameters adaptively to reduce transmission delay for important slices. Experiment results show the effectiveness on improvement of quality of service and reduction of control overhead.
