Numerical simulation on the gas-liquid two-phase flow in the direct commissioning process of a hilly pipeline

Abstract: Direct commissioning of oil pipeline is a complex gas-liquid two-phase flow process. In the highly hilly area, the complex flow status in the pipeline poses great threat to the safety of pipeline. Numerical approach is adopted in this work to study the gas-liquid two-phase flow in the hilly pipe. Physical models are established and commercial software is utilized to monitor the flow field. Characteristics and influencing factors for varied types of pipes are studied.
