Abstract: A 3D Muscle control tongue and mouth(3D-MCTM) model is presented in this paper. Based on anatomy and tongue’s moving characteristic，the model consists of two parts-- the inner model and the outer model. Outer mouth is controlled by nine pieces of muscle which respectively belong to three different kinds, while the tongue is controlled by six pieces of new muscle. The modeling and animation is convenient. The experiments on PC show that the tongue model is realistic, and can simulate mouth movement vividly.
