A novel beamforming algorithm to improve range ambiguity for spaceborne SAR

Abstract: An iterative algorithm was proposed in this paper which can be used to improve range ambiguity for spaceborne SAR. To optimize patterns quickly, second-order restrictions which refer to power side lobe are converted to linear restrictions in relation with electric field. Local lower side lobes are formed in ambiguous regions which suppress range ambiguity in SAR effectively.
