Abstract: Energyefficiencyisthecriticalfactorinwirelesssensornetworks.Increasingthepacketsizemay increasetheprobabilityoftransportationerror,whileshorteningthepacketsizemayencountertoomanycontrolpackets.Itisaworthyissuetooptimizepacketsizesoastoimprovetheenergyefficiency.Previousworksonsetting thepacketsizenormallyisbasedonextensivenumericalorimplementalsimulation.Inthispaper,wetryto constructanoptimalmodeltoestablishtheinternalrelationshipamongradiounit,channelsandprotocols.One numericalexampleillustratestherelationshipbetweentheoptimalpacketsizeandthedatawhichtobesent.
