Abstract:

The Liaohe Basin is a Meso-Cenozoic faulting-depression basin, characterized by tectonic framewo rk of “three subdepressions and three uplift s”.Based on temperature measurements in 12 w ells and thermal conductivity determinations of 47 rock samples, 12 heat flow values w ere calculated for the Eastern Subdepression. The geo thermal g radient ranges f rom 10 ℃/ Km to 50 ℃/Km.The rock thermal conduct ivity ranges f rom 0.819 W/m·k to 2.914 W/m·k.Ranging f rom 45.7 mW/m2 to 70.0 mW/m2, the mean of these 12 heat flow values exhibi ts 56.1 ±6.98 mW/m2.The heat f low in the uplif t and ramp is g reater than that in the sag.
